The Amazon is vast. It hides things. Sometimes, those things are better left hidden. Archaeologist Lucas Vega returns to the river where his father disappeared twenty years ago — swallowed by the jungle, never seen again. Lucas has a diary, a faded photograph, and a desperate hope. He hires a ragtag crew: a boat captain haunted by her own ghosts, a botanist who knows every poison in the jungle, and a silent guide who refuses to speak about what he has seen in the deep water. They travel upstream, past the last recorded village, into territory where no maps exist. The river begins to change. Water shifts colour. Trees grow in impossible patterns. And at night, Lucas hears voices from beneath the surface — voices that sound like his father. The deeper they go, the less Lucas can trust his own mind. The river remembers everything. And it demands a price.
