General contractual conditions

CONCLUSION OF CONTRACT

The presentation of products in our online shop (quaint-puzzle.com) does not constitute a legally binding offer, but rather a non-binding invitation to order.

By clicking the “Order” or “Buy” button, the Customer submits a binding offer to purchase the goods in their shopping cart.

We will confirm receipt of your order immediately by automated email. This confirmation does not constitute acceptance of your offer.

The contract is concluded when we:

  • Send you an order confirmation email (explicit acceptance), or
  • Dispatch the goods to you, or
  • Provide you with the digital content (e-books, audiobooks)

The contract text will be stored by us and sent to you with the order confirmation. You can also view your past orders in your customer account.

RIGHT OF CANCELLATION (WITHDRAWAL)

Statutory Right of Cancellation

As a Consumer, you have a statutory right of cancellation under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

Cancellation Period

The cancellation period is 14 days from the day on which you (or a third party indicated by you, other than the carrier) take physical possession of the goods.

Exercise of the Right to Cancel

To exercise your right to cancel, you must inform us of your decision by a clear statement (e.g., letter sent by post, fax, or email). You may use the model cancellation form below, but it is not obligatory.

Effects of Cancellation

If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including delivery costs (except for any supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).

We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and in any event not later than:

  • 14 days after the day on which we receive the returned goods from you, or
  • (if earlier) 14 days after the day on which you provide evidence that you have returned the goods, or
  • if there were no goods supplied, 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel this contract

We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise.

Return of Goods

You must send back the goods without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your cancellation to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired.

Return costs: You will be responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods unless we have agreed otherwise.

Condition of returned goods: You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods.

Exceptions to the Right of Cancellation

The right of cancellation does NOT apply to contracts for the supply of:

  • E-books and other digital content if you have expressly consented to the performance commencing before the cancellation period ends and acknowledged that you thereby lose your right to cancel
  • Sealed audio or video recordings (e.g., audiobooks on CD) or sealed software that were unsealed after delivery
  • Newspapers, periodicals, or magazines (except for subscription contracts)

If any provision of these Terms is or becomes invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. The version of the Terms in effect at the time of your order shall apply.
